Specialist Learning Support Assistants

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate Specialist Learning Support Assistants to join our staffing pool and support learners with a range of additional needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing high-quality learning and personal care support while helping students develop their English, maths and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group support for learners with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Deliver and reinforce English and maths learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Support learners to achieve their individual targets and maximise their independence.
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding and mobility support where required.
• Promote student well being, engagement and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff to ensure learners receive the best possible support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner progress reviews.

Key Qualities:

• Experience working with young people or adults with SEND, learning disabilities and/or autism.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills, with confidence supporting English and maths activities.
• Willingness to provide personal care and support learners with complex needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant qualifications in education, care or support work are desirable but not essential.
